Exocet Anti Bug Kill is a combined fuel soluble and preservative that has been formulated to remove microbiological contamination ('diesel bug') from your tank.
Bacteria contamination of diesel can occur in any diesel tank. Being an organic fuel, diesel provides an ideal environment for bacteria to feed and grow inside your tank. Often, the first sign of this occurring is the blocking of filters with a slimy substance ranging in colour from black to light brown. Other symptoms can include poor engine performance, clogged fuel lines and engine failure.
These issues can be rectified with a dose of Exocet Anti Bug Kill which has a treatment ratio of 1:5000. It is advisable to drain any water from your tank before use and to fill the tank as much as possible with clean fuel after use. The process takes between 24 and 36 hours to kill the bacteria
