Bund Alarms

Bund Alarms, also referred to as leak alarms in some instances, a bund alarm is an additional safety device where the sensor is installed within the secondary containment system, its primary function is to determine if the bund contains any fluid before filling, its secondary function is to alert the site operator if the inner tank contents have leaked into the containment system.

Bund alarms are typically dormant. In a well-designed and maintained system a bund alarm is unlikely to sound except when tested.
