Pulse Meters
Pulse meters are flow meters that give a signal output to a remote display or fuel management system.
Consideration of the distance between the pulse meter and the receiving instrument should be considered when selecting the pulse meter output.
The most common type of pulse meter utilises a reed switch as its output. Reed switch pulse meters are only suitable for cable runs no more than 25-50m due to signal degradation.
Hall effect sensors are a solid-state output and can transmit much further distances. 4-20mA analogue outputs are also suitable for longer transmission distances.
